About Assembly of Faith Church

OUR CHURCH HISTORY

Assembly of Faith Church was founded by Pastor Marvin C. Bozeman in 1997. The first worship service was held in the cafeteria at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church Annex building on Lockbourne Road in 1998. After one year, the Assembly of Faith Church relocated to 1543 Frebis Avenue for 5 years, where lives were changed, transformed and renewed by the power of God!

God blessed Bishop Fred Marshall of the Smyrna Baptist Church to find favor with Bishop Bozeman by offering him and the Assembly of Faith Church a beautiful, and larger edifice to continue its worship experience located at 1406 Smith Road. After several years at this location, God, in agreement with the  Assembly of Faith Vision, moved upon Bishop Bozeman to share and worship with the Nazarene Methodist Church, located on Ohio Ave; thereby tearing down the barriers that separate the body of Christ by denominational differences. After faithfully serving and worshipping at this location, God moved Assembly of Faith to its present location at 1571 Parsons Avenue.

Many ministries have been birthed out of Assembly of Faith Church, such as; the Nursing Home Ministry, Homeless Ministry, Women's Ministry, Children's Ministry (Kingdom Kids), Flag Ministry, Community GED Program, and a free Summer Camp program. Also, Assembly of Faith is known for its community service, by feeding the community an annual Thanksgiving dinner, monthly feeding the community, soup and sandwich, while providing coats, and clothing. Also monthly we feed our friends at ‘Friends of the Homeless Shelter, breakfast, to demonstrate the love of God.

We are a fun, family oriented loving church, who desires to experience God upon every church services, while we witness Godly transformation through the fruit of His Spirit.
